My primary focus has been trauma; however, I see a wide range of clients, from children to couples. I use an eclectic approach in the counseling session to best serve the clients in achieving their goals. Because of my desire to help people grow in their relationship with their LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, Graceview Counseling Center was formed in June 2014. "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Life Verse: Isaiah 58:8
"Your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear."
Qualifications: I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Comparative Religion and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. For the past several years I have had the privilege of working with adolescent and adult patients in psychiatric critical care facilities. Last year I joined Graceview Counseling Center and am currently active in building my private practice, taking on new clients as a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in helping clients cope with and resolve anxiety, depression, anger, and grief, by offering both emotional and spiritual support.
Scope of Practice: My counseling approach incorporates traditional client centered CBT, and my psychotherapeutic focus is to work towards facilitating self-healing through various holistic modalities such as art therapy, meditation, and mindfulness. By encouraging my clients to explore creative expression, they are invited to discover the inner workings of their psyche. My Judeo-Christian background contributes to my appreciation of multicultural, client-centered counseling, and one of my greatest joys is facilitating group counseling where people of diverse backgrounds can come together to heal collectively. Qualifications: I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate under the supervision of Kristin Henshaw M.S., LMFT-S.
